He moved to Boise from Sioux Falls where he was working in a large orthopedic clinic as the Sports Medicine Director. He is affiliated with many hospitals, including Treasure Valley Hospitals. Dr. Craig M. Smith also cooperates with other doctors and physicians in various medical groups.
Dr. Smith offers these services here at the Karlfeldt Center:
“I follow my father’s example, being a rural country doc from Montana – this is what got me initially interested in medicine. Playing college sports, attaining a masters degree, and research in exercise physiology refined my interest in sports medicine. What I enjoy most is tailoring treatment plans to the individual patients based on their unique needs. Whether they are a first-time exerciser or an elite level athlete, the same injury can be treated in various ways; rather than a standardized cookbook, it’s ‘gourmet’ medicine.” – Dr. Smith
