Auriculotherapy: the ultimate for pain management and much more

Auriculotherapy is needle-less stimulation of the external ear for alleviating pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body. Auriculotherapy uses electricity to diagnose and treat auricular acupoints (acupuncture points on the ear).

How Auriculotherapy Works

Auriculotherapy works by stimulating the central nervous system through the cranial nerves and spinal nerves on the auricle (external ear). This stimulation results in neurotransmitters being stimulated within the brain and spinal cord of the central nervous system. This stimulation of neurotransmitters modulates the pain and nerve function correcting dysfunctional signals sent to the affected organ or body part.

Since we are changing brain patterns, it is important to keep reinforcing the new pattern until it is the primary one and the old pattern is neutralized. Because of this, it is beneficial to have a treatment 2-3 times per week for a few weeks to maximize the treatment response.
