Do you use artificial sweeteners? Dr. Michael Karlfeldt, ND, PhD describes just a few possible harmful side-effects of the popular artificial sweetener, Aspartame, which has been marketed as a safe and healthy alternative to sugar on the consumer market for several decades.

One of the artificial sweeteners, Aspartame, is also known as Equal, Naturi Sweet, Spoonfuls, Diabeti Sweet. It’s a common chemical sweetener with possible side effects that sound like they are out of a horror movie.

From hallucinations to seizures, to brain tumors, it is hardly worth consuming for the sake of “safe” calories.

According to researchers, the following diseases can be triggered or worsened by the ingestion of Aspartame:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • MS
  • Epilepsy
  • Parkinson’s
  • Diabetes
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Birth defects
  • Lymphoma
  • Chronic fatigue
