Dr. Michael Karlfeldt, ND, PhD discusses how a raw food diet can help improve the inflammatory process which leads to to disease and chronic illness, and heal the body.

When we are toxic with heavy metals and chemicals, these substances in and of themselves will create an inflammatory signal in the body. Dr. Karlfeldt recommends focusing on raw foods. 

He has patients that experience chronic pain adhere to a diet of 80% raw foods, a few complex carbohydrates, and fish which is high in Omega 3s to create a health-supporting, anti-inflammatory effect

Raw foods contain a large amount of enzymes. Enzymes are the workers and the repairers of damaged and inflamed tissue. These are some tips to enable you to take control of inflammation in your body via your diet and the food you eat.
