Gut Health

The digestive tract, also called the “gut,” is the home to more of your body’s neurotransmitters than the brain! The health of the digestive system is beyond important in maintaining long-term health.

The digestive system houses the gut microbiome, which means all of the microbes in your intestines. This microbiome actually acts as another organ that is crucial not only to your digestion but to your overall health.

In fact, the gut microbiome controls your digestion, your immune system, your central nervous system and many other vital body functions. If your gut’s health is compromised, then your whole body will be negatively impacted.

Here at the Karlfeldt Center, we believe that healing your digestive system and your gut is one of the first steps to wellness. Many of our services focus on balancing your digestive health so that your body can heal itself.
